LOVE OXFORD 2007
Broad Street: Sunday 10 June 2007
Many Christians in Oxford long to work and serve more together, to worship and pray more together. So for the second year running, the churches of Oxford organised a united open air celebration in Broad Street on Sunday 10 June 2007.
We welcomed the John Pritchard, the new Bishop of Oxford, and sang together a new song "On Holy Ground" written especially with Love Oxford and the Martyrs Memorial in mind.
One of the highlights were the prayers in 4 languages for Oxford:

Amen.

We were all baptised by one Spirit into one body, and we were all given the one Spirit
to drink. The body is not made up of one part but of many. If one part suffers, every
part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it. We are the
body of Christ, and each one of us is a part of it. May our love for one another bring
light in the place where we live. Amen.
